NOVEMBER 2012: THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE

This Tony Award winning Broadway musical is about six spellers determined to win the bee to prove their worth. They face puberty, demanding families, and their own overachiever-complexes. Each speller comes to compete but leaves the bee with lessons more valuable than winning. This musical is filled with strange characters, heartfelt stories, strained relationships, and hilarious music. You've got to see it to bee-lieve it!

FEBRUARY 2013: THE 24 HOUR PLAY PROJECT
AATP hosted a successful 24-hour festival during which playwrights, actors, directors, and designers produced a full-length play in the span of just one day. First-time directors, producers, writers and actors were encouraged to attend. Individuals will signed up with their interests and were matched in a randomly assigned group of 5 - 10 people. After being given a common theme, each group will had the remainder of the day to compose and rehearse an original play.

MAY 2013: DEATH OF A SALESMAN

Death of a Salesman tells the story of Willy Loman- a failed traveling salesman and patriarch of the Loman family. His two sons Biff and Happy have struggled to reach their full potential and currently live at home. Linda, their mother and Willy's wife, struggles to salvage her relationship with her husband and sons. While the world continues to progress forward, the Lomans are stuck in life. This iconic American play won the Pulitzer Prize in 1949 and has won numerous Tony Awards for best play and revival.
